Nine Ladies
An example of a 3D scan that will feature in my Nine Ladies Stone Circle project, part of Index’s Digital Archiving: Gallery of Anonymous Memories. The site is maintained by English Heritage, who describe a small early Bronze Age stone circle believed to depict nine ladies turned to stone for dancing on Sunday. Given that it is one of the most visited circles in the north of England, there is little known about it.
This project uses photogrammetry to construct a digital re-interpretation of the heritage site, including its artefacts and monuments, with the re-telling of its histories supported by archival material (audio, image, video).
